My passion: In studio I use a very limited palate of backgrounds and props. The focus of my studio work is on the subject – not silly backgrounds or giant numbers. I want these to be classic images that won’t simply be a reflection of the current fads of over processed/Instagrammy looking snapshots.
I trained for a career in photojournalism and my weekday job as Promotions Director (formerly videographer/editor) dovetails perfectly with my weekend passion of creating artistic portraits for models, high school seniors and families.

1979 Second place portfolio at Indiana University’s Summer Journalism Institute. This was a highly intense two week long course for high school yearbook photographers.. a long time ago but probably solidified my desire and confidence in my photographic potential.
