Imagine sitting down with your grandma and listening to her tell her favorite stories. Who taught her to quilt and to cook? How about hanging out with grandpa again in his garage as he shows you his newest tool or latest project? Everybody has a story to tell and I love listening to them be told. These moments are precious and irreplaceable. Sooner than we want…we lose our moments. These moments vanish.
This is why I’ve launched a new product simply called “Moments” which will blend personal and intimate stories with beautiful imagery. Each will be five to ten minutes long and concentrate on one aspect of the subject – their hobby… music… job… whatever they are passionate about.
Capture those moments…those smiles and smirks, those twinkles and wrinkles. Moments can live forever.
Here are a few of my favorites (these may not load on your mobile device)
Moments in Dance: Kelsey Knee from Doug Howell on Vimeo.
Music. There’s nothing much better than to immerse yourself in music… unless maybe it’s being able to write and perform it as well. Emily is the total package. Fabulously sweet and easy going. Wonderfully talented in her music.
MOMENTS in music: Emily Winland from Doug Howell on Vimeo.
Most folks know Gary Berkley from his many years as president and publisher of the
Belleville News Democrat. I know him as that neighbor with the drums ;)
Bob Garger has been the film archivist at KSDK in St. Louis for several years..
He started at the station in 1954 and he KNOWs St. Louis history!
Ray Hoffstetter has also worked at KSDK…
Ray started in 1948 only a year after the station went live on the air!
You don’t have to be of a certain age either. Here’s an example featuring,
then high school senior, Heather Hamilton.
Finally a favorite of mine because it’s MY dad. Simply dipping ice cream cones for the family.
This was the first one of these little vignettes I did several years ago which really started me to thinking…
